Submission preparation

Manuscript formatting and pre-submission review

Manual journal-guideline formatting and a structured technical review that make submission risks visible before your manuscript reaches the editorial office.

Beyond a clean document

Submission readiness depends on alignment across the whole file.

A journal manuscript needs more than consistent fonts and margins. Headings, abstracts, tables, figures, declarations, references and supplementary information must follow the named journal’s current instructions. The research question, stated method, analysis and reported findings should also form a visible, coherent chain. AcademicFix separates technical corrections from editorial observations so the author retains control of every substantive decision.

01

Editorial efficiency

A file mapped to the target journal’s requirements is easier to screen and less likely to be returned for avoidable technical corrections.

02

Reporting clarity

Consistent headings, tables, figures and declarations make the study easier to navigate and evaluate.

03

Visible research alignment

Separate editorial notes can reveal apparent gaps between the question, method, analysis, findings and stated contribution.

Two connected layers

Choose technical review, formatting or a combined scope

The service is adapted to the target journal and the condition of the file. Formatting changes and editorial observations are documented separately.

01

Target-journal requirements map

The current author guidelines are converted into a file-specific checklist covering structure, length, required statements and submission components.

02

Word formatting and structure

Page setup, heading hierarchy, styles, spacing, numbering and other agreed formatting elements are applied consistently.

03

Tables, figures and captions

Numbering, callouts, titles, notes, caption placement and visible journal-specific requirements are checked.

04

Abstracts, keywords and declarations

Word limits, structured abstract elements, keywords and visible ethics, funding, conflict and contribution statements are reviewed.

05

References and citation consistency

Style consistency and visible citation–reference mismatches are checked. Full source-by-source DOI verification can be included in the combined scope.

06

Separate methods and literature observations

Apparent method–analysis inconsistencies and weak or dated literature positioning are recorded for author review, without rewriting academic content.

Questions before you enquire

FAQ

Do I need to choose a target journal first?

A named journal is required for journal-specific formatting. If no journal has been selected, we can provide a general technical review without claiming compliance with a particular publisher.

Will you rewrite sections that appear weak?

No. We record visible clarity, alignment and reporting issues in an editorial report. The author decides and writes any substantive revision.

Does formatting include reference and DOI verification?

Basic style consistency is reviewed. Full source-by-source DOI verification and extensive citation matching are included only when specified in the combined scope.

Can the work be delivered sooner than 3–5 business days?

Sometimes. Shorter schedules depend on the file and current workload. Availability and any additional fee are stated before you approve the quote.
